Mike Watson Transport frees up 1,500 bulk stack or 750 standard spaces approx warehouse spaces to meet increasing demand

Hampshire-based Mike Watson Transport (MWT) has freed up more than 1,500 bulk stack/ 750 standard spaces warehouse spaces in response to growing demand among businesses looking for more storage space.

The move follows an increasing number of requests from businesses seeking third party storage solutions, including companies from outside the UK looking for a partner to store and deliver their goods.

Situated within an hour of Southampton award winning MWT – part of Palletline Logistics – operates 30,000 sq ft across both sites state-of-the-art warehouse equipped to store ambient goods and offers a range of pick-and-pack services.

Offering total flexibility, MWT customers can take advantage of a racking system, bulk stacking and stand-alone floor space within the warehouse.

David Simonds of Mike Watson Transport said: “We are pleased to have been in a position to free up extra space within our warehouse.

“Some customers are already taking advantage of our warehousing service and all the benefits it brings and we have taken more enquiries over the past few weeks.

“This extra space can accommodate a wide range of goods, including anything from building materials, health and beauty products and materials and healthcare equipment, to tiles, ambient foods, sporting goods and garden machinery and equipment.

Established by Mike Watson more than 30 years ago, MWT has enjoyed continued growth in the pallet, haulage and storage sectors.

The company was sold to Palletline in 2016 with a view to taking the business to the next level.

Recent investments include a refurbished warehouse allowing MWT customers to benefit from a pick and pack service and the storage of ambient goods.

Other services include palletised distribution across the UK, Ireland and Europe, timed deliveries and tail-lift offloads.
