Compliant to the Core – Palletline sails through ISO audits

Palletline, the UK’s leading palletised freight distribution network, is celebrating another milestone in its commitment to excellence, once again securing the prestigious ISO 50001 accreditation for energy management.

The first UK network to achieve ISO 50001 in 2018, it is testament to Palletline’s continuous improvement in energy efficiency, cost reduction, and sustainability.

This achievement adds to its already impressive lineup of ISO certifications, including 9001, 14001, and 45001, further reinforcing its dedication to best practice across quality, environment, health and safety, and energy efficiency.

The network’s ISO 45001 certification marks its 16th consecutive year, underscoring Palletline’s long-standing commitment to occupational health and safety. Meanwhile, the ISO 9001 and 14001 have now been held for six years running, solidifying its reputation for maintaining top-tier standards in quality and environmental management.

The accreditation process, conducted by the British Assessment Bureau, involved rigorous audits of Palletline’s entire operation, from its hub and office processes to day-and-night operations across the network. The outcome was exceptional, with no non-conformities identified—an impressive feat, given the size and complexity of the operation.

Ken Bell, Palletline’s HSEQ Manager since 2006, has been instrumental in leading the initiatives that have earned these prestigious accolades. His leadership in quality and safety management has also contributed to Palletline’s consistent success in the RoSPA Gold Awards, which the company has now won for 11 consecutive years.

Ken shared: “This audit was a true team effort. We’ve not only retained our ISO accreditations, but we’ve also been recognised for the quality of our operations and the dedication of our people. This is a proud moment for everyone at Palletline.”

Palletline’s continued commitment to best practices across every aspect of its operations ensures it remains a leader in the industry.
